Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University (CFHU) is raising $50 million to harness the incredible talent of IMRIC researchers and their Canadian counterparts. Without IMRIC’s partners in funding, this goal would not be possible.

The Government of Manitoba — Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Research

The Government of Manitoba has invested $750,000 in the development of the Canada-Israel International Fetal Alcohol Consortium, a new multi-partner IMRIC collaboration that will conduct translational research in Manitoba in order to reduce the instances of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder in Manitoba.

The Government of Manitoba — HIV/AIDS Research

Dr. Frank Plummer's team at the University of Manitoba and Dr. Ofer Mandelboim's team at IMRIC have completed their first year of collaborative research. Researchers from both Winnipeg and Jerusalem travelled to Kenya, and their work in the field showed that NK cells do play a role in building resistance to infectious diseases such as HIV.
